One in three Texans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. That's not a statistic I learned from a textbook. It's the reason I spent years building a sunscreen brand from scratch — in Austin, Texas, with my own money, betting that the category was long overdue for something better.

I'm incredibly proud of both milestones. But I want to take a moment to talk about why we built this brand — because it's about more than sunscreen.

The Problem We Set Out to Fix

Texas ranks third in the nation for malignant melanoma. The problem isn't the sun. It's that people aren't protecting themselves. And when I went looking for why, the answer kept coming back to the same things — bad ingredients, greasy formulas, white cast, products that don't work for every skin tone or skin type. When sunscreen feels like a burden, people skip it. And skipping it has real consequences.

So, we built something different.
